Frequently Asked Questions

Below are some of the most frequently asked questions the practice has received over the years. Hopefully, you’ll find the information you need - but if you still have a question, feel free to get in touch with Braxy and we will happily answer your inquiry!

  • Are you accepting new clients?
Yes, we are always accepting new clients! We do our best to match clients with therapists who are located in the same area and with a therapist who will be a good fit for the client. If we do not have immediate availability you will be added to the wait list.
  • Do you accept insurance? What if I don't have BCBS?
We do accept Blue Cross Blue Shield. If you do not have BCBS, we can provide you with a superbill that you can provide to your insurance for out of network reimbursement. We also provide a prompt pay discount of 20% to families paying out of pocket and that keep a card on file.
  • If I have an evaluation from early intervention or another clinic do you have to do another one?
Nope! As long as the evaluation is recent - within the last year - we can go off of that evaluation. We can also do an evaluation if you want us to dig deeper or get a second opinion.
  • Do you diagnose autism?
A SLP does not solely diagnose autism unless they are working with a team of professionals. I would be happy to discuss any autism characteristics that you may be noticing and refer you to a professional that can diagnose autism.
  • How many words should my child be saying by 12 months? 2 years?
A child should be saying one word utterances by one year of age. By two years old, children should be combining two words (e.g. more milk).
  • Do you offer OT or PT?
Not at this time, but hopefully in the future!
  • Where is therapy provided?
Therapy is provided in home or via teletherapy.
  • Are you hiring SLPs?
Yes, we are always looking to expand the Braxy team!
  • How many clients do I need to see as a SLP?
As many as you would like! You can see one client weekly or 10 - It is entirely up to you!
